Management
Rolly Uloth, President
Rolly Uloth has been hard at work since the age of 10. His first position was caretaker
of his one room schoolhouse. After completing his first year of studies in Science at
St. Francis Xavier University in his hometown of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, he left his
studies to pursue greater opportunities. Upon arriving in Ontario in 1965, he was immediately
hired by Stelco Steel Company in Hamilton. He quickly moved up in the company and by 1968 Rolly
was promoted to be an Environmental Control Specialist at Stelco. For an additional source of income
Rolly and his wife Mary, were Superintendents for Rosedale Apartments, which, coincidently, was owned
by Rolly’s future business partner, Barry Smith. Barry was looking for new business opportunities
while employed as a pilot for Air Canada and was impressed by Rolly’s excellent work ethic.
In 1969, Stelco went on strike and Rolly, having to support a wife and an infant son, went
into business together with Barry Smith. They decided to purchase a cartage company, they
renamed it Rosedale Transport (which is now part of the Rosedale Group). In the early years,
Rosedale Transport was a one-man operation headed up by Rolly. Rolly’s new life was one of hard
work and perseverance. His time was divided between being on the road, handling the paperwork and
invoicing, and doing his own truck repairs. Rolly has maintained to this day, an excellent rapport
with all Rosedale’s major customers, which is one of his biggest strengths. He is also a tough
negotiator, which is critical in staying alive in the trucking business. In addition, he has been
able to build a very talented team around him and has learned to let his management team handle the
day-to-day operations.
Ron began his career in 1985 as a part time associate in the
Rosedale Mississauga Warehouse. Over the years he progressed in Operations duties –
Claims, Dispatch and eventually Warehouse Manager. To gain more experience within
Rosedale, he worked in the Rates Department and then moved into Sales. In response
to the need for an in-house IS Department, Ron became certified as a Microsoft Certified
Professional and became the Director of the IS Department. He has led the Company in
countless software updates and found excellent software companies to partner with us.
He currently resides as the Vice President & General Manager for Rosedale’s Canadian Operation.
Rosana Preston, Director of Human Resources & Administration

industry for over 30 years. From an entry-level position at another trucking company to
becoming a Director at Rosedale today, Rosana’s industry knowledge has added strength and
stability to the Rosedale Team. Rosana’s expertise lies in administration, customer satisfaction,
training and development as well as human resources. Rosana has developed training programs,
streamlined administrative processes for all terminal locations, and kept pace with the ever-changing
Federal Legislation to ensure that Rosedale meets or exceeds government requirements.
A recruitment and selection specialist, Rosana is instrumental in the hiring process, a factor
that contributes to the low staff turnover in Rosedale.
Ron Picklyk, Director of Finance
Ron has been with the Company for over 15 years. He has been a key player in improving and
maintaining profit before tax and bonus. He has worked diligently in improving financial
reporting and cost-control measures. His experience lies in financial, operational, and cost

domestic and international less-than-truckload and truckload markets. Throughout his career Ron
has managed sales groups of up to 30 individuals and has overseen and managed sales and customer
service programs.

20 years. He is recognized as one of the leaders in this area in the industry, particularly in the
transportation of dangerous goods regulations. Brian has been involved in the development and
delivering of Safety & Compliance policies and training to all employees and owner-operators in all
of Rosedale terminal locations. As a result, Rosedale has increased its ratings in all jurisdictions
where the Company operates, and enjoys excellent rates and rebates from its insurance providers and
the WSIB. Brian received his Business Administration Diploma from Sheridan College and has attended
many Safety related courses dealing with Personal Injury & Vehicle Accident Investigation, Drug & Alcohol
Supervisory Training, and Forklift Instructor Certificate.
